BUHRICH HOUSE II

Autumn 2025 shot at Buhrich House II,
designed and built 1968-1972 by Hugh Buhrich.
Worimi Country, Sugarloaf Point, New South Wales.

Tucked into the Castlecrag bushland is a modernist masterpiece, designed and built by German-born architect Hugh Buhrich as his family home. Blending Bauhaus design principles with bespoke elements crafted by Buhrich's own hand, Buhrich House II feels both sculptural and deeply rooted in its natural surrounds.

On the edge of a season, moments of transition take shape. Structure meets nature, light meets shadow, linen meets wool, and considered layers mirror the rhythm of change—vivid, alive, and full of possibility.

Bold red accents enliven a timeless palette, while fine merino, crisp poplin, seersucker and French linen balance lightness and comfort for changing days.

Finely tuned details—mariner stripes, cable knits and cargo—lend utility, fresh for a return to familiar routines.
